I’m having trouble finding the words to say to explain how much you’ve taken from me. So I can tell everyone I know and learn how to let it go because you stole my life before I knew what it meant. All of this time I’ve been trying to forget it. While you’ve been sleeping I’ve been keeping this all inside. I can't keep hiding so now I’m trying to let this go. While you’ve been sleeping I’ve been keeping this all inside away from the daylight. You’ll never understand how far I go just to keep everyone far from who I am. I know it wasn’t my fault, but sometimes it’s so hard to believe. It’s so hard to see. Sometimes it’s so hard to see the good in myself, but I swear it is there. I swear it’s there. The real crime is pretending I’m okay, but this time I won’t let you get away. While you’ve been sleeping I’ve been keeping this all inside. I can't keep hiding so now I’m trying to let this go. I’ve spent so much of my life keeping everyone out, getting all my worth from what they say about who I am and who I should be, but those days are over now.
